Des motifs botaniques spectaculaires et des murales grand format aux motifs géométriques raffinés et aux textures d’inspiration patrimoniale, la presse a maintes fois mis en lumière l’idée qui guide notre salle d’exposition au quotidien : le papier peint n’est plus une finition après-coup. C’est un élément de design capable de donner le ton à tout un espace.

In La Presse's 2019 Article on the reinvention of papier peint, Empire was included as part of the broader movement away from outdated assumptions about papered intérieurs. The Article described the growing appeal of murales, accent walls, refined papers, and easier-to-remove Matières. Anais Tenkerian, then identified as sales director at Empire Papier Peint in Montréal, noted that large designs and murales were returning as high-impact accent-wall choices.

“On remarque depuis quelques années le retour des murales et des grands dessins, sur un mur d'accent dans les pièces. Cela a plus d'impact.”

In La Presse's 2021 Article on nature-inspired walls, Empire contributed trend insight on oversized botanicals, landscapes, textured natural Matières, and elegant Art Deco coloriss. The Article also included practical guidance from Anaïs Tenkerian on how to begin a pièce concept with the murale or papier peint first, then coordinate the remaining finishes and accessories around it.

This reflects a principle Empire often shares with clients: the strongest intérieurs are planned as a complete composition. Papier peint, paint, furniture, lighting, and window treatments should support one anAutre rather than compete for attention.

Clin d'œil's 2023 feature on a colourful family Accueil designed by Karine Matte credited Empire Papiers Peints as the source for a geometric papier peint used in the Accueil's entry. The project demonstrates how papier peint can create immediate character in a transitional space and introduce the design language of the entire Accueil from the moment guests enter.
